Every year our homeschool cooperative has a Valentine party. We take a picnic lunch, have dessert, play games, and exchange Valentines. Each kid makes a box or bag to collect their treats. My kids always look forward to designing and putting together their collection boxes. All of these boxes are either cereal boxes or Amazon boxes turned outside-in. I just removed all the tape and glue holding the box together, flipped it and re-taped it. This saves a ton in paint or paper. Drewdle wanted a monster on his box. Final Christmas Preparations
This week we've been having fun around here with our final preparations for Christmas! My homeschooling goal was to have 90 days done before we took a break for the holidays. 90 days is our halfway point of the school year and for my 7th grader this was his midterm break so it is a nice time to stop. During our break I like to take time to do some projects we wouldn't normally do. First on our agenda was baking Christmas cookies. ColorTime Color-and-Glow Tote
Halloween and Fall Festivals are just one of the fun things about Fall. Although it is still in the 80s here in Georgia, I'm still getting excited for Trick-or-Treating as are my kids! ColorTime sent me this cool "Color-and-Glow" tote bag to try. I love anything crafty so I was excited to put my coloring skills to the test. The sample set came with 3 markers (sold separately on their website here) in orange, green, and purple.
